Our Victorian Bouclé (from the French word for curled) provides a classic example of the distinct ringlet curls that give bouclé its name. This unique texture delights the eye whether used as an all-over texture or as an occasional accent on a plain background, using Victorian 2-ply. Victorian Bouclé has the same fiber blend and color array as our Victorian Brushed Mohair. The lustrous mohair fibers allow the crisp ringlets to form while the softer crimp of the wool contributes to the softness and spring. The nylon binder lends both strength and elasticity. The combination of spring and loft resulting from this blend of fibers gives Victorian Bouclé a remarkable amount of yardage for its weight.

Weavers: Victorian Bouclé's strength makes it an excellent choice for warp as well as weft. It adds marvelous texture to any project, from shawl to overcoat, blanket to upholstery. Brushed, it gives the appearance of Victorian Brushed Mohair. The best part of weaving with mohair bouclé is you won’t experience the "stickiness" so often associated with mohair when used in a warp.

Knitters: Double-strand any two Victorian styles together on #10 or #101/2 needles at 3 sts/inch for a lovely "designer" bulky yarn.

Care - Hand wash cool water or dry clean. Lay flat to dry.
